A highly professional and passionate educator with 11 years’ experience in the ESL field in the CAPS (South African), Cambridge (UK), Common core (USA) and Emirati School Model (UAE – UK and US adapted curriculums) registered with SACE (South African Council of Education) in South Africa. She has the ability to adapt all curriculum materials to the needs of the learners using various differentiation strategies, incorporating multisensory learning and 21st Century skills. As reading therapist specialized in the Phono-Graphix method of teaching phonics in Afrikaans and English, she is able to conduct interventions to determine learners reading and writing levels. In her Masters she gained deep insight regarding the incorporation of 21st Century skills and vocabulary acquisition strategies to enhance vocabulary development focused on English Second Language Learners. She also aims on climbing the leadership ladder and her last position entailed being a Lead Teacher and trainer for English and Math at the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates. Here she also attained hands-on teaching experience related to gifted and talented learners, differentiation strategies to adapt curriculum and activities to better suit the needs of SEN or G&T learners.
She is now residing in The Netherlands.
